The Gulf County
Sheriff’s Office will be conducting vehicle safety checkpoints and DUI check
points during the month of February 2008. The check points will be held
throughout the county to include Highway 98 near St. Joe Beach, Highway 98
and Garrison Ave, C-30 Simmons Bayou, Highway 71 North of White City,
Highway 22 and Highway 22A, Highway 71 and Westarm Creek, Highway 71
Dalkieth Area and Highway 71 near the Calhoun County Line.
On 02/16/2008 Brad Curtis Phillips w/m 28 was
arrested after causing a disturbance ant a local bar. He was charged with
disorderly conduct and violation of pretrial release.
On 02/17/2008 Jessica Nicole Price w/f 20 was arrested
on a Bay County Warrant.
On 02/17/2008 deputies responded to a disturbance at
local motel. They determined that Jerry Mack Yarborough w/m 31 was causing a
disturbance and was not to be at the motel. Yarborough was arrested for
disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting without violence.
On 02/18/2008 deputies transported William Troy
Vordenbaum w/m 38 from Oakalossa County, he was arrested on a w3arrant for
violation of probation the original charge was DWLSR and possession of
marijuana.
On 02/19/2008 a vehicle driven by Heather Marie Ellerbe
w/f 22 was stopped for a traffic violation. The deputy determined that she
was operating a vehicle under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. She
was arrested fro DUI, her breath test results were .159 and .179 the legal
limit in Florida is .080.
On 02/19/2008 Anthony Scott Crocker was arrested for
grand theft theft. It was determined that he stole a generator in September
of 2007 and pawned it in Panama City.
On 02/19/2008 Jackie Faye Bullington w/f 58 was
arrested for failure to register as a convicted felon.
On 02/19/2008 Phyllis Hayes Arnold w/f 47 was arrested
on warrants for introduction of contraband into a state correctional
facility.
On 02/21/2008 Terrance Dawan Dawson b/m 19 had agreed
to delivery some crack cocaine to an undercover officer. When Dawson arrived
at the White City boat ramp to make his delivery he was arrested for sale of
crack cocaine.
On 02/22/2008 Van Elliott Johnson b/m 35, John Todd
Nelson w/m 38 and Charles Dewayne Brant w/m 48 were arrested for failure to
pay child support.
On 02/22/2008 Susan Elizabeth Rester w/f 44, Rachel
Cristina Spencer w/f 31 and Wendy Lee Roberson w/f 41 were arrested for
violation of probation warrants.
On 02/23/2008 a vehicle driven by Donald Eugene Henley
w/m 40 was stopped for a traffic violations the deputy determined that he
was operating a vehicle while impaired. During a search of the vehicle a
bottle containing 57 xanax were found. Henley was charged with DUI and
possession of a controlled substance, a passenger Ginger Lynn Haynes w/f 39
was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a
Neighborhood Watch Organizational Meeting at the Highland View Fire Station
on March 2 2008 at 7:00pm. All Highland View residents are invited to
attend.
