The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting vehicle safety checkpoints and DUI check points during the month of March 2008. The check points will be held throughout the county to include Highway 98 near St. Joe Beach, Highway 98 and Garrison Ave, C-30 Simmons Bayou, Highway 71 North of White City, Highway 22 and Highway 22A, Highway 71 and Westarm Creek, Highway 71 Dalkieth Area and Highway 71 near the Calhoun County Line.

On 02/28/2008 Oscar David Redd Jr w/m 37 was arrested on a warrant for violation of probation the original charge was disorderly conduct.

On 02/28/2008 Norman Dewayne Travis b/m 34 was arrested on a Broward County warrant for violation of probation the original charge was DUI.

On 02/28/2008 Gulf County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team responded to a domestic disturbance after gunshots were fires. The SWAT team was able to arrest Jerry Dell Goodwin without incident. Goodwin was charges with Possession of a controlled substance, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, resisting without violence and using a firearm while under the influence of alcohol, his bond was set at $400,000.00.

On 02/29/2008 Jeremiah T Revis w/m 21 was arrested on two warrants for dealing in stolen property.

On 03/03/2008 Regina Rose Kerrigan w/f 32 was arrested after a domestic disturbance in which she is alleged to have stabbed her boyfriend in the chest. She was charged with aggravated battery.
