The Gulf County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting vehicle safety checkpoints and DUI check points during the month of March 2008. The check points will be held throughout the county to include Highway 98 near St. Joe Beach, Highway 98 and Garrison Ave, C-30 Simmons Bayou, Highway 71 North of White City, Highway 22 and Highway 22A, Highway 71 and Westarm Creek, Highway 71 Dalkieth Area and Highway 71 near the Calhoun County Line

On 03/17/2008 Sarah Chastin Stoker w/f 27 was arrested on a violation of probation warrant.

On 03/18/2008 Kevin P Quaranta w/m 18 was arrested on a Franklin County warrant for battery, Quaranta turned him self in and was released on a conditional release.

On 03/19/2008 escaped inmate Robert Richard Wall was returned to the Gulf County Detention center and arrested on charges of escape, grand theft auto, grand theft and failure to appear.

On 03/19/2008 deputies responded to an apartment complex in Wewahitcha concerning complaints of a drunk man knocking on doors, Geoffery A Hodges W/m 40 was arrested for disorderly intoxication.

On 03/20/2008 Patricia Ann Newman b/f 40 was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear.

On 03/22/2008 James Edward Watford III w/m 28 was arrested for DUI.
